The Expeditioner Travel Magazine is one of our favorite online travel mags. I’m not only saying that because I like the stories, but because I know the editors and writers and they are cool people.
The writing is refreshing. It’s current and catchy headlines make you want to click through, but the editor-in- chief, Matt Stabile, keeps it real by including solid travel stories. And I’m not just saying that because he published one of mine.
Matt also makes videos from his trips. I don’t know where he finds so much time to do all this while holding down a full time job in Manhattan. But he pulls it off.
Read The Expeditioner for couchsurfing tips, why you should go to Burma now, or advice for visiting Angkor Wat.
Check out the video page to get inspired to travel to such places as Mozambique, Tallinn, Estonia, and Medellin, Colombia.
If you’re a writer, it’s worth noting that The Expeditioner accepts freelance writers on spec. Check out the submissions page for more information.
The folks at the TheExpeditioner has also published a book: The Expeditioner’s Guide to the World: Intrepid Tales of Awesomeness from the Open Road
