Resort
Malapascua Exotic Dive Resort is located on Malapascua Island, off the north coast of Cebu Island in the Philippines.
The location. The long beach of Malapascua Island is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. The water is always a comfortable temperature to swim, it is shallow, and the tide is not so big. Tropical beaches cannot get any better than this. Palm trees make shade all day long, creating a perfect place to enjoy the beach without getting burned.
Another great point of Exotic Dive Resort is their expertise as a dive school. I don’t dive, but I got to know a lot of important stuff just being around them. I went to snorkel with the divers. They are the very first dive resort in this island. The diving spots, and all the local knowledge were pioneered by them. Their equipment is top-notch, and instructors and dive masters are professionals. If you are a diver, you would want to look into this place.
Other than the on-site restaurant, there’s not much of place to hang out if you are staying in rooms like Go-Pro, which is a simple room without a balcony. But Exotic Dive Resort is more heavily focused on diving courses rather than simply being a beach resort (but it is a great place to hang out on the beach!). But, if you come here to dive, or to get certified, you won’t have much time to hang out.
The Wi-Fi connection is available at the restaurant. It’s not the fastest, but it works pretty well, considering it is in the middle of the islands.

GoPro rooms (simple double room with air-con) for 1,500 pesos ($40). There are various types of rooms from super deluxe to GoPro.
The whole island felt pretty safe. And you can lock your valuables at the front desk. Exotic Dive Resort hires their on security guards, who are here 24/7. Yes, it is safe.
