Our Pic of the Day: Dhaka Rickshaw-wala
The Dhaka Rickshaw-wala, or rickshaw driver, has one of the toughest jobs around. Cycle rickshaws are ubiquitous in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and provide most of the short-haul transportation around the city. Most walas come in from the countryside, taking advantage of the employment opportunities. Wages are small at $50-70 per month, but still represent a good wage for these men.
