Yurt camp

Bel Tam Yurt Camp is located on the southern shore of Issky-Kul Lake. After a long hiking trip, this place was like a piece of heaven!

The best

I didn’t expect to have a hot shower during my trip in Kyrgyzstan but there it was in Bel Tam. A flush toilet and hot shower is the definition of luxury to me. Bel Tam is also a good place to relax. Watching amazing sunrise and sunset, swimming in the ocean-like lake, walking around the lake, or just reading in a yurt, it’s just so comfortable.

The worst

Some yurts have mattresses but they are not really comfortable. It’s better to sleep on the ground with the mat.

Internet Connection

In general, internet connection is not something that comes easily. There are some phone signals (3G) but it’s not steady.

Hot shower, western toilet, bar, parking

Best for

Families, Friends, Groups, Individuals, Couples

Ideal for

Relaxation, family trip, backpacking, adventure

Local business

From $15 per night at Bel Tam Yurt Camp.

There is a security guard present and in general safety and security is good in Kathmandu. I never felt like myself or my possessions were at risk while staying at Potala Guest House Kathmandu.

Editor’s pick

Recommended. The famous Issyk-Kul Lake is one of the best ‘beach’ vacation I’ve done all thanks to Bel Tam Yurt Camp.
